Your first visit.
We know you don't like it but it does help us to get to know you. We promise we will read it. When you call you will have the option of having a confidential link emailed to you so that you can complete most of it in the comfort of your own home.
You will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will you meet your goals.
Let's try and get to the bottom of this.
Foundational Foot Assessment
Chiropractors aren't just interested in the back- they're trained to view the body as a whole structure, with every joint, muscle, tendon, and bone working in unison to keep your body on the move. The feet are the foundation of your body, so we start out at the base to assess balance all the way up.
Your posture is where your current structure of your body meets the functional control of your nervous system. Even small corrections in how you hold yourself in space have much to do with where you hurt or may be injured in the future.
Determining where to adjust and where not to adjust is vital in achieving positive outcomes. The doctors will palpate for changes in muscle tone, asymmetry in motion and shape of the joints being assessed.
Neurological, Orthopedic, and Vital testing.
Other standardized testing will be performed to determine any pathology that would need care and referral to a different type of provider.
We will measure your actual muscle tone and evaluate blood flow with a rolling thermal assessment , to detect if your spinal nerves are communicating with your spine properly.
If needed, the doctors can take most necessary images in house. We prefer to see the actual structures we are working on. We don't like to guess with your health.

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness through a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.
Physical Medicine Modalities and Therapeutic Procedures
To complement and enhance the healing effects of a specific Chiropractic adjustment, we also provide the following physiological therapeutic procedures:
- Myofascial release
- Cranial-Sacral Therapy
- Axial Traction
We teach our patients special exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? The doctors at Kimel Chiropractic Center, P.C can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.
Our orthotics are to support your entire lower extremity, including your knees and hips. This helps to provide a balanced foundation for you to maintain a symptom free upright posture.
Let's get a plan.
On your second visit, once all the information is collected and examinations have been performed, and we know how you responded to the first treatment, the doctor will give you a report of findings.
The report of findings will answer the three most popular questions:
2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
3. How much is it going to cost?
After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, the doctor will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If we believe we can help you, we will recommend a treatment and wellness program.
